GSE Bodyworker - Heathrow

We have an exciting opportunity at our London Heathrow Airport site for a GSE Bodyworker to join our team.

TMS UK Ltd are market leaders within the field of Ground Service Equipment repair and maintenance, and is part of TCR Group, the leading global provider of integrated solutions for Ground Support Equipment (GSE) in aviation.

The Role:

In this role, you will be accountable for carrying out cost effective bodywork repairs, modifications and improvements on a wide range of vehicles and GSE equipment. You will be expected to complete bodyworker tasks such as welding, straightening, stripping, re-fitting & replacing parts etc. This work will be completed in a timely manner and to a high standard, whilst adhering to company policies, procedures and Health & Safety.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • City & Guilds Level2/3

  • NVQ Level 2/3

  • Time served Apprenticeship

  • MIG, TIG, Stick welding experience in mild steel/aluminium

  • Diploma in Accident Repair Body Principles

  • Diploma in Accident Repair Paint Principles

  • Diploma in Accident repair MET Principles

 

Desirables:

  • Coded Welding

  • Motor Industry environment

  • Airport industry environment

  • Exposure to GSE equipment, HGV / Plant Equipment

  • Forklift Licence

  • HGV/PSV Licence

 

You will need to:

  • Be able to demonstrate your Right To Work in the UK

  • Be able to obtain an airside pass which will require you to undergo a criminal record check and 5-year history verification

  • Hold a valid UK driving licence

  • Provide certifications for all qualifications

 

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday - 6am to 2pm or 8am - 4pm with flexibility.
